Appearance / Color

Deep dark gold

Nose / Aroma / Smell

Punchy but packed with leather, tobacco, caramel, baking spice, ginger, clove and a dash of pepper.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

Full of caramel candies, toffee, praline, butterscotch and creme brûlée. Light on oak

Finish

Long, full of rich cherry cordials, passion fruit, candied ginger, spicy clove and pepper, some nutmeg.

Information on this batch is somewhat limited as it’s one of the earliest batch releases for 2024. Part of the same “coupe mere” or mother blend of 18 bourbon barrels, which went into six, 300-liter Armagnac casks. They have a fair amount of fruit, cream, sweetness, and tobacco on the nose and palate, although the way it presents itself is a little different in all six batches.
