Like all Blanton’s, it traces back to 1984 when Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee launched the first modern single-barrel bourbon in honor of Col. Albert B. Blanton. The brand is closely associated with metal-clad Warehouse H in Frankfort, whose quick temperature swings are believed to intensify wood interaction. For many years SFTB was export-only; beginning in 2020 it has seen limited U.S. drops, remaining highly allocated.
