Flavor / Taste / Palate
Rich and mouth-coating. Burnt caramel and brown sugar meet cinnamon, black pepper, aged oak and spiced cherry, with tobacco and leather adding maturity.
Finish
Long and increasingly dry, with peppery charred oak, toasted brown sugar, rye spice, leather and lingering baking spice.
Batch 02 is only the second release of Jack Daniel’s 14 Year, following 2025's Batch 01—the first 14-year age-stated Jack Daniel’s whiskey in more than a century. It uses the same classic Jack Daniel’s mash bill as Old No. 7 and undergoes the Lincoln County Process, with the new-make spirit mellowed through 10 feet of sugar-maple charcoal before entering new American oak. The remarkable part is how much the familiar Jack Daniel’s profile changes after 14 years. The sweeter caramel and brown-sugar character remains, but extended maturation pushes the whiskey toward seasoned oak, dark fruit, tobacco, leather and baking spice. Mature oak, caramelized sweetness and spice. At 117.6 proof, Batch 02 is lower than Batch 01's 126.3 proof, yet it remains the highest-proof member of Jack Daniel’s 2026 age-stated trio. Balance of brown sugar, sweet oak, caramel and cherry before the whiskey transitions toward a considerably drier, spicier finish.
